SectLauncher 2.0 is a new chapter for the project. We decided not to release the previous version and instead completely rebuilt the launcher from scratch on a new engine, fixing old issues and building a solid foundation.
What’s Changed
Transition to Rust and Tauri
We used to use Compose Multiplatform, but now we’ve completely switched to Rust + Tauri v2.
- The launcher is now much lighter.
- The interface works faster and smoother, like a regular system application.
- You no longer need a heavy Java (JVM) just to display windows and buttons.
Forge Support
We’ve added Forge support. Now the launcher works correctly not only with Fabric but also with all popular mods and heavy Forge-based modpacks.
Discord Integration
SectLauncher now supports Discord Rich Presence. Your game activity will automatically be displayed in your Discord profile — your friends will see that you are in the game.
Microsoft Authorization
We’ve developed our own plugin for Microsoft account authorization. This allows you to log in to any official servers without issues and play with your usual skin and progress.
Design and Themes
We’ve updated the look of the launcher, making it more calm. Most importantly — now you decide how it looks:
- You can choose a ready-made theme or set your own colors.
- You can put any of your own images on the home screen background.

What’s Next
We continue to work on integration with CurseForge and Modrinth, as well as improved isolation of game versions from each other. The stable release is scheduled for Q2 2026.
